PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON FLEET DIVERSITY IS OPEN!

Congratulations! After a lot of hard work, we finally have a chance to make recommendations to policy makers about what fleet diversity really means. If you can attend one of these meeting in person, great! If not, please consider submitting written comments. If you need help figuring this out please get in touch with us at fleet diversity (at) namanet (dot) org.

Protecting fleet diversity is about the ecosystem, fishing communities, and our locally caught seafood. Check out all the public support for fleet diversity including our petition with over 1,200 signautres. And if you haven't done it yet, click here to pledge your support for fleet diversity. Huge thanks to all our supporters!!

In the Spotlight

Watch our community organizer, Brett Tolley, a 4th generation fisherman in this video made by Slow Food at last year's annual gathering, Terra Madre, in Torino, Italy. He makes a great case about what small-scale fishermen and family farmers have in common and what our common fight against industrial food production is all about.

WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT NAMA

"Three things have stood out for me while volunteering for NAMA: 1) what you don't say is as important as what you do say; 2) build bridges not walls; and, 3) it's about principles and process - not personality."

- Sandy Farrell

Whole health practitioner at Harbor Health Group, fishing community advocate and NAMA volunteer
